Fabric storage products may look simple, but dimensions, reinforcement, fabric hand feel, openings and packing volume all affect one another. A clearer brief usually means fewer revisions later.

Define the selling scenario

The factory needs to know where the item will be sold, who will use it, what it will hold and the intended retail position. Similar-looking boxes require different load, access and material decisions when used for wardrobes, toys or bedding.

Turn references into a manufacturable specification

Reference images show a direction, not a production standard. Before sampling, confirm dimensions, support construction, seam positions, zipper routes, handle loads, labels and packing. The factory can then adjust the design around reliable processes and equipment.

Review more than appearance

A sample review should cover dimensions, standing shape, deformation under load, opening action, stitching and packing. Consolidating revisions into one marked list helps prevent different versions from being interpreted as the final sample.

Lock the standard before bulk production

Color, fabric, accessories, tolerances, label placement, carton arrangement and inspection priorities should be recorded before production. Checking critical operations during the first run helps later batches stay consistent.
